MOSQUITO FIRST NATIONS HEALTH CENTRE
This First Nations project, contracted through Health Canada required a full reconstruction of a fire damaged building. All that remained was the precast floor system. FRESH rebuilt the (SIPS) Structural Insulated Panel System Superstructure and replaced the interior construction. This included replacing plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems as well as interior finishes.
FRESH was tasked with utilizing the existing 10,000 sqft concrete floor while building a brand new office above and a new crawl space below. FRESH sourced a piece of specialty excavating equipment, modified it to reach underneath the building, over-excavated, created a mote to divert water and were able to pour another concrete floor under the existing one. The end result was a functional facility with a better environmental footprint.
As a complete end-to-end project the FRESH team also handled the site work and landscaping to restore the Health Centre to its original state.
